A full appointment with your own clinician, by video, for the many problems that do not need you to be in the room — and an honest answer when yours does.

If we decide within the first five minutes that you need to be seen in person, the call is not charged.
Remote consulting earned a bad reputation by being used as a filter — a barrier staffed by someone who had never met you, whose job was to decide whether you deserved a real appointment.
This is the opposite of that. It is a full appointment, with your own clinician, that happens to take place over video because for this particular problem the room would not have added anything.
Discussing results. Reviewing a medication change. Mental health appointments, which many people find considerably easier from their own sofa than from a consulting room. Anything where the alternative is you taking half a day off work to be told something that takes nine minutes.
If you need to be examined, you need to be examined. We make that call quickly and we do not charge you for the call where we make it in the first five minutes.
You can also book a consulting room at Eastfield and take your video appointment from here — useful if home is busy, the connection is poor, or the subject is one you would rather not discuss within earshot of your family.
Step by step
From booking to follow-up, with how long each part takes. No stage of this is a surprise.
Video slots are held by the same clinicians who run in-person clinics, including early morning and evening. You are not routed to a separate remote service that has never met you.
The link arrives by text and email and opens in a browser. No account, no app, no download. If video fails we switch to phone without losing the slot.
Twenty minutes, in a proper consulting room at our end. You can share photographs beforehand — skin, a rash, a swelling — which are attached to your record rather than sitting in a message thread.
Some things cannot be assessed on video and we will say so quickly. If that happens in the first five minutes, we convert you to an in-person slot and the video call is not charged.
Prescriptions go electronically to a pharmacy of your choice. Your written summary arrives the same day, exactly as it would after an in-person visit.
Anything needing palpation, auscultation, an internal examination, or an accurate blood pressure. Chest pain, abdominal pain, a sick child, dizziness and anything acutely unwell should be in person. We would rather tell you that in minute three than pretend otherwise for twenty.
It is the same clinicians, with your record open, at the same standard. The only difference is the room. It is not a triage line and it is not staffed by a third party.
Yes, where it is clinically appropriate. Prescriptions are sent electronically to any pharmacy you choose. Controlled drugs and some first prescriptions do require an in-person assessment.
We can usually still see you, and it is one of the most common reasons people book video. Prescribing across borders is restricted, so we may be able to advise but not prescribe. We will tell you which applies before you pay.
Calls are encrypted end to end and are not recorded. Our clinicians take them from closed consulting rooms, never from home or a shared space.
