Mei-Lin leads the practice’s mental health work and holds a postgraduate certificate in cognitive behavioural therapy, which shapes how her appointments run even when she is not delivering therapy as such.
She offers thirty-minute first appointments for mental health concerns as standard, and works closely with the talking therapies services we refer into, so that a referral is a handover rather than a dead end.
She also holds a general list, and is clear that the division between physical and mental health is mostly an artefact of how services are commissioned.
