Each page below tells you what actually happens at the appointment, step by step, how long it takes, what it costs and who you will see. If you are not sure which you need, start with family medicine.
Your routine appointment for anything that is new, worrying, or has not settled on its own. Twenty-five minutes with a clinician who keeps your record.
Appointments for children from birth to sixteen, in a clinic with a door on the waiting room and clinicians who examine children well.
Menopause, contraception, periods and pelvic health, with appointments long enough to take an actual history rather than a summary of one.
Structured reviews for diabetes, blood pressure, asthma, thyroid and heart disease — as one appointment that covers everything, not five that each cover a little.
Bloods, ECGs, ultrasound and swabs on site at Riverside, with results explained by the clinician who ordered them.
A full appointment with your own clinician, by video, for the many problems that do not need you to be in the room — and an honest answer when yours does.
Direct-access assessment and rehabilitation for backs, necks, shoulders and knees. No GP referral needed, and usually no scan either.
Thirty-minute first appointments for anxiety, low mood, burnout and sleep, with a clinician who can prescribe, refer and keep seeing you.
Nothing matched that. Tell us what you need and we will point you to the right appointment — including when the answer is that you do not need us.
Call the practice and describe the problem. Reception will not try to diagnose you — they will pass it to a clinician, who will tell you which appointment is right, how soon you need it, and whether you need one at all.
That last answer is given more often than you might expect, and it does not cost anything.
